So in my excitement to get this weeks tackle out of the way I forgot to take pictures of the before and the after. Not cool! Especially considering that in the middle of the before it looked like a tornado had went through our house. So sorry I don't have the pictures, but I have to get some credit of what I accomplished so bear with me as I share my tackle in words only. I took off this past Friday for a mental health day since I am just having a heck of a time settling into the new school year. However, that is all in another post so moving on. While I spent most of the day Friday blogging, twittering, and playing with the kids, I thought I should try to do something productive around the house. So I decided to change the summer wardrobes to winter wardrobes. Sounds easy, right? Not exactly. Here's what I did... Cleaned out both children's closets making a pile of clothes to be put away for next summer and another pile to be listed on Ebay in the spring. Unpacked the fall...

It's that time again. Weigh In Day! This week was totally exhausting with work considering I worked late three days and didn't get home until almost 7. However, I prevailed and...drumroll please...Oh my gosh I lost 2 pounds!! Two pounds. That makes my total amount lost so far for Weight Watchers Lose for Good Campaign is 6 pounds. According to my facebook widget my loss is allowing a child to eat for 26 days. Go me!! Losing weight and feeding others. I love it! I haven't lost this much in one week since...I can't remember when! I did count every point this week and stayed very close to my range. Still not perfect, but getting better each week. As far as exercise...well not so good. Other than last Sunday night my feet never touched the treadmill. Didn't I mention I worked late every day? I know I shouldn't make excuses and I should have just sleepwalked, but instead I made the poor choice to go to bed by 8:30 every night. Friday night the whole family went for...

Zoe has been asking for a kitty for awhile now and honestly since Mako , our dog, died over the summer we have all been missing having a pet around the house. So we decided for Zoe's birthday we would get her a little friend. I asked around school to see if anybody knew of a kitten who needed a home and our nurse said her hairdresser had found a kitten and just the night before asked her if she knew anybody who was looking for one. Dylan and I went to visit it a couple weeks ago and fell in love. Since then we've been visiting it almost every day after school as the lady told us she would hold it until Zoe's birthday. It was getting to be a bit much to take time to go there after school and Dyl was having a harder and harder time keeping the secret so we decided to give Zoe an early gift. When I eat pizza I take all the toppings off including the cheese and just eat the crust with some sauce. I admit it. I am a big "talk on my cell while driving" person. I have a 45 minute commute one way and find that it is usually the best time to take care of things. When I get home in the evening it's dinner, cleaning, homework, baths, and bedtime...way to hectic to try to have a conversation with somebody. I go overboard on my kid's birthday parties. I've never really gotten into the whole decorating for fall. That is until this year. Lately I've been tackling the house and giving it a festive fall feeling. My first part of getting ready for fall was making sure the house smelled just right. I'm not a big candle fan in the summer, but as soon as the cool weather rolls around there is nothing better than the smell of pumpkins and cinnamon. So my first step to getting ready for fall was lighting this... As far as decorations, here are a couple pictures of what I've done so far... Our dining room table all decorated for Halloween with fresh, fall flowers. The fireplace decked out in scarecrows and pumpkins.
