If You're a Senior Citizen, I Must Be Dead

Dylan had a special mystery night at school at the end of the year and it so happened it was the same night as Zoe's preschool graduation.  It was the first time I had to decide between my two kids and it stunk!! I didn't know how I was going to choose one over the other.   Dylan at first said he didn't need to go to his event {such a fantastic big brother he is}, but when I mentioned this to his teacher she told me she understood, but was disappointed because Dylan was going to receive an award that night.   Great.  Mommyguilt.   Gotta love it!  So my parents came to the rescue and took Dylan to his program while Dave and I attended Zoe's.  My parents recently moved near us so it was their first time visiting Dyl's school for a function so he was pretty excited to show everything off for them.  When we picked him up later this was our conversation. ME:  Dyl, did you get a special award tonight? Dylan: Yeah. M...

One Day I'll Catch Up...or not!

I know my blogging has been spotty at best lately, but I do have a great excuse.  I've been too busy living life !!   Last summer, I regretted the amount of time I spent behind the computer so this year I have vowed to unplug and go enjoy the time I have off.  It was a crazy end of the school year with Zoe's graduation, my 5th grade graduation, Dylan's end of the year events, and then pageant week {wait till you hear about Zoe's busy week}.   I've been on summer vacation for a week and so far we have had a beach day, spent a day on the boat fishing and clamming,  went on a long family bike ride and had a picnic at the beach, visited the library and signed up for summer reading programs, attended a b-day party, and watched Dylan kick butt at his final tennis match for the season.  We've been running here and there and everywhere.  Even right now as I type this we are enjoying a few days in North Carolina with my sis-in-law, niece, and nep...

A Night at Grampy and Grammas

Image
We have always lived within minutes of my inlaws and I've loved how the kids get to see them so often. The other night Dave and I had plans and the grandparents came to the rescue, babysitting the kiddos at a great rate {FREE} and leaving us to enjoy ourselves.  My mom-in-law and I both love pictures so I was tickled when I found some of these in my inbox.  They were just too cute not to share. Evidently it was a night of performances. {captured on the Iphone so a little blurry, but still adorable} Zoe did a dance routine. A mermaid danced too. Dylan put on a puppet show. Princesses came to join in all the fun. You just never know what will happen at a night at Gramma's! SUBSCRIBE to never miss a piece of chocolate Be Sweet, Follow Mel on Twitter
