HAPPY THANKSGIVING FROM THE TUTTLE'S

Vegas, Baby!!!

Dave and I got back on Wednesday from our first "no kids" getaway. Of course, my mommy nerves were shot leaving especially knowing that I was a 6 hour plane ride away, but all was perfectly fine. Sally and Tut watched the kids for the 4 days so it was nice knowing that they were with their grandparents. I was more worried about them (Gramma and Grandpy) than my kids...since I know how exhausting they can be. Every year Dave takes a business trip to Las Vegas with his airline ticket and hotel room being paid for by a company. I accompanied him when I was 8 months pregnant and we took Dyl his first year, but then things got hectic as I was finishing my teaching degree and then having Zoe that I stopped going. Finally this year, we thought it was time that I went and we had some adult time together. It was absolutely wonderful hanging out with my best friend and just doing things at our own pace. We had dinner in Paris and Rio, lunch in New York, and visited Venice...only in Veg...

Carving the pumpkins!

Carving pumpkins is quite the process in our family...we use stencils and create pumpkin masterpieces. This was the first year that Dylan was actually patient enough to do his own. Zoe of course was the artist herself as she colored on her pumpkin. THE FINISHED PRODUCTS!! Dylan and his scary skeleton! Zoe and her perfect jack-o-lantern. She thought it was much cooler to blow out the candle than to just admire it!

Pumpkin Patch

Nothing beats family traditions! Every year our family goes to Mr. Pepper's Pumpkin Patch and picks out the best pumpkins we can find. This year our day was made even more fun because Grandpa and Grandma Lightfoot and Uncle Andrew came with us. We had a blast picking the pumpkins and getting lost in the corn maze. Pshew...all this hunting for the perfect pumpkins can tire people out! Here's another winner! Dylan found many that he liked so before we left we had to choose from our best of the best!!

Happy Halloween!!

Trick or Treat !! Dylan and Zoe had a blast dressing up and visiting the neighborhood. Zoe was the most beautiful princess ever and Dylan scared everybody as a glowing skeleton. Both costumes were made by Grandma Tuttle, which made them even cooler!
