I saw this over at "Living in the Land of Pink" and thought it looked like some holiday fun, so I played along. Feel free to do the same.
On to the meme:
1.Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate?
I'm sure I don't even have to answer this, but the chocolate baby!
2.Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?
Santa always wraps his presents in special Santa paper and puts them in the chair by the fireplace. Honestly, he never considered NOT wrapping. Maybe he should cut back this year too and save on paper!!
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white?
I love colored lights, but also really like the white icicle lights so I mix them up. As far as outside we usually have white icicle lights on our roof, white net lights on two big bushes, and red rope lights on our steps to our house. My tree always has colored lights though. Nothing better than watching all of the colors twinkle at night!
4. Do you hang mistletoe?
5. When do you put your decorations up?
Thanksgiving day or the day after depending on if I'm cooking or now.
6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?
You mean there is more to holiday dinners than my cherry pie??
7. Favorite holiday memory as a child:
Driving to Michigan overnight to get there for the holidays and spending the day with my grandparents and relatives.
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?
My parents never did the Santa thing so I knew the truth forever.

Oh yes!! This was always a family tradition on my side and even though it drives Dave crazy we open a gift on Christmas Eve.
10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree?
With lots and lots of lights!!! There are also many ornaments since we always get at least a couple new ones every year. One thing you won't find on my tree are two of anything!!
11. Snow! Love it or Dread it?
I'm a school teacher...need you ask??? Unfortunately we never get much of it no matter how hard I pray.
12. Can you ice skate?
Actually ice skating is how I met my husband. He was born skating and me...not so much. I can stay straight, but you won't see me in the Olympics anytime soon.
13. Do you remember your favorite gift?
I received my engagement ring for Christmas. Definitely my favorite gift!
14. What is the most important thing about the Holidays for you?
Getting of school?? I kid. Definitely being able to spend time with the family. I like sharing the traditions and starting new ones.

My grandma's sugar cookies with buttercream frosting. Oh yeah! I think I may need to make a batch this week.
16. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Going to cut down our Christmas tree on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. I like walking around the farm, choosing a tree, and enjoying the hot chocolate and cookies.
17. What tops your tree?
When I first met my husband I was a huge Pooh fan and we had a Pooh plush tree topper. He actually put my engagement ring on Pooh's hand. This year I decided that I had enough of Pooh and now my tree is topless. I'm on the search of something to dress it with.
18. Which do you prefer giving or receiving?
I like to give gifts and enjoy shopping for the perfect gift. Of course you will never here me turning down a gift either though.

It's funny because Zoe just asked me this today. I really don't think I can narrow it down. I do enjoy the peacefulness of Silent Night.

Yummy, especially when used to stir hot chocolate!

I do plan and attend a Happy Hour for my school every year and my friends and I do usually get together for a little Christmas par-tay.
23. Do you dress up on Christmas or wear PJs?
It pj's for as long as possible and then pretty casual for dinner. Since clothes is usually on my wish list I like to pick out something new to wear.
24. Do you own a Santa hat?
Yes, quite a few actually along with a couple elf hats.
25. Who do you normally spend Christmas with?
I am a big stickler to staying home on Christmas so my kids can enjoy their gifts rather than running here and there. We usually go to my parents (2hr away) the weekend before or after and spend the afternoon on Christmas with my in-laws when they are in town. This year my in-laws are going to Florida and I will be happily staying home ALL day.
I would love to hear all about your Christmas'. Let me know if you complete the meme so I can come visit!!
