Save 2nd Base {Giveaway}

Save 2nd base is a local breast cancer apparel company who is turning heads locally and nationally with their usage of “pink with a wink” humor to build awareness and grow the fight against this devastating disease. Over the past several years, Save 2nd Base t-shirts and attire have blossomed into a national frenzy with sales in all 50 states, around the world, and to our troops overseas. Proceeds from the sale of these items benefit the Kelly Rooney Foundation  which inspires further support, research and eradication of the disease in young women, and pledges ongoing funds for breast cancer research surrounding high-risk women under the age of 40.

Save 2nd Base shirts attract attention for not only the product, but the story behind it. The inspiration behind this company is Kelly Rooney, a loving wife and mother of five young children from Wayne, Pa., who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2006 at age 43 without ever losing her sense of humor. Before she passed, Rooney designed the original Save 2nd Base t-shirt design for a cancer walk, representing a catchy but serious message – we can’t let cancer take away one’s sense of humor.

I was given some of the classic Save 2nd Base t-shirts for the SWAG bags at Delaware Beach Bloggin and also a few extra to share with some of you, my readers.  Humor is the way I go when it comes to tackling tough situations so I had to giggle when I saw these shirts.  If you are interested in spreading the word about breast cancer awareness and helping to raise money for a great organization while keeping the humor leave me a comment along with your t-shirt size.  I will sort the entrees by shirt size and draw the lucky winners next weekend!

Good luck and don't forget to check out Save 2nd Base to see all the other ways they are using humor to tackle breast cancer!

DISCLOSURE: I received free t-shirts to facilitate this review and offer a giveaway to my readers. I did not receive any monetary compensation for this post.  All opinions, as always, are my own.
