Post's Bowls of Hope
Cereal is the breakfast of choice at my house so when I was allowed the chance to receive a free* box of Post Shredded Wheats, one of our absolute favorites, I was all over it. Then I found out that my one box of cereal was actually helping to fight hunger. Double bonus. You see, Post has began a new program called Post’s “Bowls of Hope.” For every purchase of Post Shredded Wheat the company will donate one bowl of cereal to Feeding America, up to 15 million bowls. That's a whole lotta cereal people. The purchase of a Bowls of Hope specially-marked cereal will support Post’s efforts in donating a bowl of Post Shredded Wheat Original, Shredded Wheat Spoon Size Original, Shredded Wheat and Bran, Shredded Wheat Lightly Frosted and Shredded Wheat Honey Nut. Each variety is heart-healthy, offers the benefits of whole grains, is a good source of fiber, and provides a simple approach to feeling good while doing good. The Post and Feeding America’s Bowls of Hope program will run until December 31, 2009.
So now I have an even better reason for allowing my kids to eat cereal every morning! Next time you are grocery shopping don't forget to pick up your own box of Post Shredded Wheat and fight hunger with me.
*Disclosure: I received a free box of Shredded Wheats from Post and then purchased many more boxes with my own money!
