Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year from Mel Tuttle on Vimeo.

It only took us a gazillion takes to get this video so for goodness sakes please take the 2 minutes to watch it and leave us a comment.

Dyl does have his own blog and since I always say the name of my blog when creating a vlog he has to say his too. Zoe, however, doesn't have her own blog YET, but she had to get in on the action by creating somewhere she was from too! Hopefully we at least provided you with a chuckle.

Oh and notice my sons nice chapped lips and chin. Any suggestions on how to make him stop licking or what to put on them to clear it up fast would be most appreciated. Thanks bunches.

Happy New Year!!

  1. Such a cute family!

My oldest DD always had lips like that during the winter and the only way I could fix it was carmex, no chapstick was ever enough, it had to be carmex.

    Make it Shine in 2009!

  6. Very cute video! Zoe is so cute!

I don't know what you can use to get him to stop licking...I haven't heard a good solution for that at all. But Carmex sounds like a good thing to clear it up. I was going to suggest a lanolin product we used in LLL for cracked skin...I could even send you some.

I'm pretty sure he'll grow out of the licking thing as I've never seen teens with this problem. LOL!

Happy New Year to you and yours!

  8. I had to chuckle...Ethan did the exact same thing about that age, too! It was really bad--and painful for him, but he kept right on lickin'! Carmex is a good idea for the day time, and don't laugh, but I would even say some Baby Balm (that creme that's made down in the beach area for diaper rash--I think smaller pharmacies sell it) works really, really well on chapped skin. I'd use it over night around his mouth. I use to use it on E's cheeks (face!) b/c he's face would get really chapped in the winter, too. Wow, he sounds like such a sensative kid, but he really is rough and tumble!

  10. so so cute!!! happy new year to you all too :o)

in this house we use a product called Bag Balm to help any and everything that gets chapped. it smells a bit yucky and tastes even worse but it works!!! maybe the yucky taste will turn him off to the habit? i usually buy it from the pharmacy in my grocery (no prescription needed, that's just where it lives).

i checked and it is on both CVS and Walgreen's sites so perhaps you could pick it up there too.
