Five Point Friday - 0 Point Vegetable Soup

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

After enjoying Thanksgiving and all the fixings I don't even have 5 points leftover for this week. So I thought it would be great if I share a 0 point recipe for some delicious soup.

Weight Watchers Garden Vegetable Soup
0 points per 1c. serving

4 cans fat free chicken broth
2 c. diced carrots
1 large onion
1/2 cabbage, chopped (I am not a big fan so I usually omit this, but others say it makes the soup)
1 zucchini diced
1/2lb frozen green beans
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 sm can tomato paste
1 can diced tomatoes
1 tsp basil
1tsp oregano
1 tsp salt

On med-high heat cook carrots, onion, and garlic for about 5 minutes. Add all the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce the heat to MEDIUM and simmer for about 15 minutes or until the beans are tender. Enjoy your guilt free lunch, dinner, or snack!!

Do you have a tasty recipe that is less 5 points or less? I'd love for you to sign Mr. Linky and join me in my Five Point Friday's. Is your point low fat and healthy, but you don't have a clue how many points it is? Email me the recipe and I will figure out the points for you and let you know. I can't wait to read some of your recipes and try out some new yummy foods.

I love this soup - with the cabbage. Love cabbage. I need to make a big pot for next week so I can get rid of some extra pounds so I can fit into some of my winter clothes!

Thanks for the reminder.
