Spring Weight Off - Week 3

Okay so this week was not as great as last week, which stinks because it seems like I am right back to where I was before. Stuck in the low 140's. It is like my body refuses to go into the 130's. This time though I am not going out without a fight. I bought myself one of these cool techie toys and am happy to report that I have been exercising faithfully. Sometimes I wonder if this is a double edged sword though because the more I work out, the more I gain muscle, which equals the more I weigh. I have also really cut back on the carbs in order to stay within my point goal. Instead of having a starch with dinner I have been trying to double up on veggies. Honestly, the week probably would have ended better except for the fact that I was so darn hungry on Saturday and then enjoyed a bit too much food and wine during girls night on Saturday. I take complete responsibility for my choices though and realize that my choices impacted my weight loss for the week.

Oh well...it's a new week! I am going to keep on exercising and watching the carbs in order to stay within my point goal so hopefully I will reap some rewards next week.

  1. Don't skimp on the carbs if you're working out a lot. you need them!! focus on a lot of WHOLE foods and your body will thank you :)

    I'm interested to see how you like the Nike + :P

  2. Good for you! I just got on the scale today and have no idea how I gained 4 lbs! I need to start a moving because I'd love to see the low 140's again!

  4. Ahhhh girls night out. Sounds so fun! I like your new techy toy too.

    Carbs has been a big thing I have been trying to avoid as well and then drinking the water too.

    Keep up the exercise and you will do just fine!!

    If you designed this you should be extremely proud of yourself!

    As for the blog...yes all we can do is just keep on exercising and keep on eating those veggies that are "free foods". Gotta love the free foods :D

  6. I am proud of you for losing all of that weight! I have lost 40lbs myself... although gained 10lbs back (on purpose... got a little too skinny). I ran a marathon they day before my son was born... crazy day. I plan on running a marathon in May in Wilmington. Keep plugging away... you look great.
