The post in which you show your unconditional love

After seeing Arianne post pictures of her living room in it's "natural" state I decided to take the plunge and bear it all too. Of course, her living room mess is put to shame with what you are about to see.
Tackle It Tuesday Meme

This is my first Tackle it Tuesday because other than my board's I haven't really been tackling anything. Now before you get too judgemental please consider...

  1. I am a working mom who hates to come home and clean believes that spending time with my kids is priority after a day at school
  2. I just finished my National Board's which consumed pretty much every night and weekends from January through March
  3. We had just returned from our vacation (trust me I didn't leave the house looking quite like this!)

So over the weekend you may have read this and now it is time to share the fruits of my labor.

BEFORE

AFTER

Now you know why I wrote this!

The great thing is that three days later my room looks just as good! Next week I will share the hallway and kids rooms that I also tackled over the weekend. I want to give you some time to forget these pictures before I show you the rest!!

What did you tackle? Be sure to go visit 5 minutes for mom to see what other bloggers tackled.

  1. Wonderful job! It looks wonderful!

Housework will always be there. Sometimes you just have to do it when you can.
    Good Job!

  3. Don't be embarrassed -- the pictures made at least one person (ME) say Thank goodness someone else's house gets like that sometimes too!

  4. Wow - what a difference. I always feel out of sorts when my closet gets like that (yes, it does) but whenever I clean it it's so relaxing. Odd, I know.
