It's Carnival Time Again!
It's that time again...time for the quarterly Bloggy Giveaways Carnival. What am I giving away this time? As my regular readers know I am an elementary teacher and right now we are busy counting down the days until summer vacation. You may also know that my kids and I are well known beach bums and during the summer that is where you will find us. So to celebrate the countdown and my beach addiction my giveaway is going to be a summer countdown surprise. I'm thinking some taffy, a summer read, lemonade, and of course some beach stuff. I promise it's going to be good!!What do you have to do to win??!! Just leave me a comment telling me what your favorite thing about summer is...that is it. I love summer because of the long days. You can get so much accomplished. I also love the warm weather. The change of seasons is nice.

The warm weather. After living in Texas for a number of years, I just can't seem to get used to the winters up north where I am now. I can't wait till I can go to a park, lay in the sun and read a book. Oh happy days!

I don't think I can narrow it down to one thing - the sun, oh wonderful sun, the warmth after a really long winter, lazy days on the beach, feeling the sand between my toes, a good book and a cool drink, family BBQs, kids staying up late, running through the sprinkler - oh man I can't wait!

My favorite thing about summer is being able to wear flip-flops in public without my toes freezing or getting soaked. I hate shoes with a passion, and only wear them when absolutely necessary, and them my feet are uncomfortable. Flip-flops are almost like being barefoot, so I cannot wait for the weather to warm up. I can't say that the beach is my favorite thing of summer because I live 3/4 of a mile from the beach all winter long in SW Florida. Sooo-I think I would have to say seeing my grandkids more, watching them play baseball and soccer, etc.

What do I love about summer? The cold drinks. The lounging. Staying up late with my kids and not feeling guilty cuz I know they can sleep in late. The fests we have around here in Germany.
